JBJ daughter's charges dropped
By WENN.COM
Drug charges filed against Jon Bon Jovi’s teenage daughter have been dropped, a day after police found her unresponsive in a dorm room at her New York college. Cops and emergency medical technicians were called to Hamilton College in the early hours of Wednesday amid allegations Stephanie Rose Bongiovi had suffered a heroin overdose. The 19 year old was found alive but was admitted to hospital for treatment. A search of the room uncovered a "small quantity" of heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia and Bongiovi and 21-year-old student Ian S. Grant were subsequently booked on drug charges. However, misdemeanour counts including criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and criminal use of drug paraphernalia have all been dismissed as a result of New York State Penal Law section 220.78, which forbids prosecution against a person who seeks medical treatment for someone who has suffered a life-threatening medical emergency. Rocker Jon Bon Jovi has yet to speak out about the incident.
