The story regarding a bizarre restraining order against Britney Spears' allegedly filed by her former brother-in-law is a hoax.

In the original story posted by Radar Online, Christopher Federline (Spears' ex husband's brother), reportedly accused the singer of stealing his credit card and then threatened to tell the world he was the biological father of her son Sean Preston.

The article is seriously in doubt after website The Smoking Gun linked convicted felon, Jonathan Lee Riches, to the story.

Riches is the same fraudster who claimed he was the uncle of Sandy Hook Elementary school suspect Adam Lanza and has "filed hundreds of fatuous lawsuits that named a cavalcade of athletes, politicians, musicians, Hollywood stars, and other public figures as defendants."

Riches reportedly referred to the 'Federline' complaint in a Facebook posting on December 19. The Smoking Gun reports Riches is also a credit card fraudster.
