It says something about the power, the influence and monstrously huge audience of the Super Bowl halftime show that Janet Jackson's nipple will forever be a part of our collective cultural memory.
We still see it in our mind's eye, the weird, star-shaped metal thing plastered to Janet's boob, revealed to all the world in a "wardrobe malfunction" during the Super Bowl halftime show in 2004 when Justin Timberlake ripped away a piece of Jackson's costume to reveal her bare right breast. Oh, the tizzy!
This year's halftime headliner, Beyonce, is about as safe a bet as you can get. She's a great singer, everyone seems to love her and she knows how to put on a good show, lip-synching or no.
