Grammys, controversy is thy middle name.
So Justin Bieber got shut out of Sunday night's Grammys in Los Angeles?
Was it really that controversial that an 18-year-old pop star was snubbed?
Certainly, his manager Scooter Braun thought so, tweeting: "The kid deserved it. Grammy board u blew it on this one."
Turns out Bieber had visited schools on behalf of the Grammys, Grammy Camp and was involved in other Grammy-related charities.
And you thought the Golden Globes were political!
Bieber was nominated for three Grammys in previous years but there was sense that his young age might have worked against him this time on what was thought to be a transitional album with Believe.
And don't cry too hard for the Biebs.
He'll likely have the last laugh on Saturday Night Live which he is hosting and performing on Saturday night, significantly on the other side of the coast while Grammys week is underway in L.A.
