Sources close to rocker Marilyn Manson have assured fans his stage collapse in Canada on Wednesday night was the result of the flu bug currently sweeping through North America.
The Rock is Dead singer passed out during a show in Saskatoon and insiders insist he should not have taken to the stage at all.
One source tells TMZ.com the shock rocker fell ill hours before the show but refused to call off the gig.
He vomited on stage several times before collapsing while performing Beautiful People.
The source claims Manson was not taken to the hospital, but returned to his hotel room to rest up.
Manson is still hoping to perform in Calgary on Friday night.
