Do you really tune into the Grammys other than to see who wins album of the year?
Or is it musicmaker's often outrageous sense of fashion, over-the-top performances and rare, but welcome, moments of spontaneity during acceptance speeches that keep you coming back?
Whatever the case, the 2013 Grammys live broadcast, airing tonight on Global and CBS and hosted by LL Cool J, aims to keep eyeballs glued to the program by stacking the show with some heavyweight performances in between the handful of awards it hands out. (Typically, 90% of the 81 trophies are doled out during the pre-telecast portion taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in the afternoon.)
EDITOR'S NOTE: We'll have live coverage of the 55th annual Grammy Awards Sunday night starting at 6 p.m. ET, including red carpet hits and misses and instant reviews of all the performances!
