For what it's worth, Justin Bieber tonight will become the 30th person in the nearly 38-year history of Saturday Night Live to perform as both host and musical guest.
So we'll look for some schtick from the kid from Stratford, Ont., whose label, RBMG/Island Def Jam Music, has begun touting him as "the Prince of Pop."
(When he was the musical guest in 2010, he did get to serenade Tina Fey in a sketch, so I guess that counts as prior comedy experience).
But at 18 years and 11 months, Bieber is not the youngest to pull double duty on SNL. That mark was set by Britney Spears in 2000, when she was six months younger than the Biebs is now.
Still, it's a pretty eclectic list of host/musical acts that runs the gamut from Desi Arnaz (1976), Stevie Wonder (1983), Garth Brooks (1998 and '99), Jennifer Lopez (2001 and 2010), Janet Jackson (2004) and, hilariously, Mick Jagger last year (the Stones also hosted and performed in '78).
