It doesn’t matter whether you care for Justin, Carly, Taylor, Carrie and Kelly, because there’s one thing that sets the Grammy Awards apart from the rest of the hardware handouts that pepper January and February: it’s as much about the show as the awards.
Unfortunately, Sunday night’s 55th Annual Grammy Awards seemed to forget about the show part of the show. With a deep pool of performing talent, you’d think there’d have been more wildness, more spontaneity, more unforgettable moments. And you’d be very wrong.
It started out encouragingly weird, with Taylor Swift – Or T-Swizzle, as no one has ever called her before that night – in some kind of freaky Alice in Wonderland acid trip, reminding us that she is never, ever getting back together with that guy. EVER.
