Hallelujah! -- Alberta-born singer k.d. lang is being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame on April 21 during the 2013 Juno Awards ceremony in Regina, which will be broadcasted on CTV.

The 51-year-old pop-and-country singer with the big, bold voice has a career that spans over 25 years, winning eight Junos and four Grammys, and teaming up with Roy Orbison, Bonnie Raitt, Tony Bennett and Elton John along the way.

"To be included in the lineage of Canadian artists who have formed my musical DNA and who remain my mentors, is beyond humbling," said Lang in a statement. "I am deeply honoured to be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame."

Lang began her career in the mid-'80s as an alt-country-punk singer claiming to be the reincarnation of Patsy Cline before moving into mainstream pop territory by the mid-'90s with such hits as Constant Craving and Miss Chatelaine.

Her cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah at the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010 prompted a standing ovation.

She also received the Order of Canada in 1997 and was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2008.
