Bieber murder plot calls released
By QMI Agency

New details have emerged about a failed plot to murder Canadian pop star Justin Bieber.

Police released audio of phone calls between two convicts and a third man to Albuquerque ABC station KOAT 7 (listen below).

The tapes reveal Dana Martin, in prison for raping and murdering a 15-year-old girl, talking to former jailmate Mark Staake and Staake's nephew, Tanner Ruane.

"Did he go over the Bieber thing with you?" Martin asked Ruane.

"Nah. The way I like to work dude, I like to know as little as possible," Ruane said. "He's gonna use one of the things you gave him, and then he's gonna take care of it."

By "take care of it," police believe Ruane meant kill the Stratford, Ont., singer.

"We went and bought the hedge clippers," Ruane later said. "You're gonna give me five large ($5,000) for each one I get."

Police allege that Ruane and Staake were to carry out Martin's plan to castrate Bieber and his bodyguard in New York City with the hedge clippers, then suffocate them with a scarf.

"Tie it really tight, and that cuts off all the oxygen, and then tie it in the back again, really tight. That seals the deal," Martin said.

But the plot was foiled when the pair made a wrong turn into Canada while heading to New York for Beiber's Nov. 28 concert. Stake was arrested at the border for an outstanding warrant.

Soon after, Martin — who said he's "infatuated" with Bieber and has a tattoo of him on his leg — confessed.
