Some fans of The Who have been wondering that question aloud since witnessing alleged bad behaviour from the iconic British guitarist when the band played in Hamilton, Ont., Tuesday night.
Townshend, 67, is seen in a YouTube video as mouthing the words, "F--- off" to a father who brought his seven-year-old daughter to the concert.
"You shouldn't treat any fan that way, but more so a seven-year-old girl," said Lisa, the photographer who was sitting behind the family who were berated by Townshend at the show.
"We were just so disgusted that we walked out on the second set -- and my husband was a big fan."
The Who came to Copps Coliseum as part of a North American tour to perform live their 1973 double-album, Quadrophenia.
