Bob Seger is still running Against The Wind, but for how much longer?
As the 67-year-old Detroit-area classic rocker prepares to tour western Canada - with his 2011 double album Ultimate Hits: Rock N Roll Never Forgets at double platinum on this side of the border - he knows his road time has an expiration date.
"I'm definitely nearing the end," says Seger from his studio in southern Michigan.
"I can't see myself doing this when I'm 70 and I'm going to be 68 in May. I've had a wonderful, wonderful run and my audiences have just kept coming and it's really nice but all good things have come to an end. ... Of course if the (new) album takes off - in this day and age, I haven't got a clue - but if does, then we might tour another year, we'll see."
In the meantime, Seger - whose career hits five decades in 2015 - hasn't given up on his recording career.
