A representative for the White House has dismissed reports Adele and Beyonce will perform for America's First Lady Michelle Obama during her 50th birthday celebrations next year.
U.S. President Barack Obama's wife will reach the milestone on Jan. 17 and Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper suggested the soul sensation and Crazy In Love hitmaker had both been invited to sing at a major party in Washington, D.C.
However, a spokesperson for the White House has moved swiftly to shoot down the rumours, telling NBC News, "This is 100 per cent false. It was fabricated by a British tabloid."
