Rockers Yes have paid tribute to former bandmate Peter Banks following his death last week, insisting the guitarist is a "huge piece" of their history.
Ex-Yes star Billy Sherwood confirmed reports suggesting the 65-year-old passed away at his London home on March 7, and now the current members of the band have added their tribute to Banks, who co-founded Yes with his former The Syn bandmate Chris Squire in 1968.
In a group statement, they write, "We are deeply saddened to learn about the passing of fellow bandmate and founding Yes member, Peter Banks.
"He was a huge piece of the fabric that made Yes what it is, and our thoughts, sincere condolences, and prayers are with him and his family. Peter, we shall miss you greatly."
