Nicki Minaj, known for her over-the-top style, got a makeunder for a recent photoshoot for Elle magazine.
The American Idol judge ditched her Barbie doll makeup and crazy hair in the April issue of the magazine – a step that she says left her feeling uncomfortable.
"To go in front of the camera, without pink lips or big ol' crazy lashes — you know, nothing — I felt naked," Minaj says of the shoot. "It was scary!
In one photo, she's wearing a T-shirt and jeans for a "simply sexy" look. On the cover she wears Tom Ford.
In her interview with Elle, Minaj also shared her experiences with bullying, offered advice to women and talks about her goals.
