Montreal's Arcade Fire, Muse, and a reunited OutKast will headline this year's Coachella Valley Music & Arts festival.

With Arcade Fire being a staple of late on the festival scene, it seemed a shoo-in that the hugely popular Canadian band was going to get the closing slot at one of the biggest music events of the year.

Other acts heading down to the desert include Queens of the Stone Age, Beck, Motorhead, the Replacements, Lana Del Rey, Skrillex, Pharrell Williams and Broken Bells.

It seems organizers have hit a right note with the announcement, with fans mostly thrilled with the 2014 edition. Some posts on their official Facebook page include posts such as "Anybody not liking this lineup is not into good music" and "This is the best line up in years, so excited."

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival takes place at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, Calif., and runs over two weekends: April 11 to 13 and April 18 to 20 (the same acts are on both weekends). Tickets go on sale HERE on Friday at 7 a.m. (EST).

Last year's festival included the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phoenix, Blur and Stone Roses. Here's a replay of our coverage from 2013.
