We are the Champions again.

Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor are joining forces with the band’s latest singing recruit, Adam Lambert of American Idol fame, for a North American summer tour that will hit seven Canadian cities as follows:

June 21, Winnipeg, MTS Centre;

June 23, Saskatoon, Credit Union Centre;

June 24, Edmonto, Rexall Place;

June 26, Calgary, Scotiabank Saddledome;

June 28, Vancouver, Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena;

July 13, Toronto, Air Canada Centre;

July 14, Montreal, Bell Centre.

The trio, who first shared the Idol stage in 2009 for a performance of We Are The Champions, have toured overseas before and played a one-off show at Las Vegas’ iHeartRadio Music Festival which apparently triggered talk of a North American run.

“I think Canada has always been fantastic for Queen,” said Taylor in an interview with QMI Agency on Thursday afternoon following their Madison Square Garden press conference to announce the trek.

“We’ve many great memories there - Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, etc.”

Added Lambert, also on the phone with Taylor and May, to QMI: “I have to say too in my solo stuff that I’ve done over the past couple of years, Canada has been so welcoming to me. I‘ve had an amazing relationship with the fans there so that’s really exciting to come back to some of the cities I did my solo stuff in and now I’m with Queen so it’s kind of like doublewhammy - it feels really, really good.”

Tickets go on sale March 14 at livenation.com.

The tour will kick off June 19 in Chicago and wrap on July 20 in Washington D.C. as it stands.
