Barely three months after her death in a plane crash, Aaliyah will be the subject of a full-length biography.
Written by Time magazine senior writer and pop music critic Christopher John Farley, "Aaliyah: More Than A Woman" will be rushed into book stores by early December. The 224-page paperback, published by Pocket Books, will carry a suggested retail price of $9.99 in Canada.
In addition to his position at Time, Farley is the author of a 1996 novel, "My Favorite War" (1996), about a Washington reporter's life-changing experience covering Desert Storm in Kuwait. He is working on a second novel, set in 19th Century Jamaica.
Aaliyah and eight others died on Aug. 25 after their Cessna 402 crashed 200 feet from the end of the runway, shortly after taking off from Marsh Harbor airport in the Bahamas.
The 22-year-old singer/actress had just completed shooting a new video for "Rock The Boat". She will be seen on screen in 2002 in the adaptation of Anne Rice's "The Queen Of The Damned", with Vincent Perez, Stuart Townsend, and Lena Olin.
She had also been before the cameras for principal photography on the sequel to "The Matrix". (More on Aaliyah)
