Former Canadian metal queen and current jazz chanteuse Lee Aaron has given birth to her first child, a daughter named Angella, the singer has announced.
"Both mother and daughter are doing great and thank everyone for their happy wishes," reads a posting on Aaron's website.
Aaron, who currently lives in Vancouver with her husband John, recently released her 11th album, "Beautiful Things". The CD features original songs like "Boy Glory" as well as covers of James Taylor's "Lo and Behold" and Nina Simone's "Do I Move You."
