Concert Review: Bryan Adams

Live 8, Barrie - July 2, 2005
Adams shows us paradise

BARRIE - Bryan Adams opened his rather long set with Back To You, one of the many hits at his disposal.

Adams told the crowd they could make poverty history and of his belief in "people power."

Then Adams gave them the grittier, edgier rocker Open Road, which got the audience going, most of them clapping their hands overhead.

Adams' set was interrupted by the worldwide snapping of fingers, then he continued with another of his newer tunes, This Side Of Paradise, a poppy, upbeat tune.

"I just want to say that I'm really proud to be here today," Adams said before closing the set with All For Love.

Encouraging the crowd to sing along, Adams wrapped things up with a snippet of Tears Are Not Enough, the 1985 song he helped write.
