By ANIKA VAN WYK
MORE ... Trace Adkins A good solid country album from the man with the sexy, deep rumbling voice. Songs like A Working Man's Wage, about a hard day's worth of physical work versus strummin' a guitar onstage, and All Hat, No Cattle, about a "drugstore-made dude" who's trying to be a cowboy prove Adkins has an affection for pure country. But he isn't narrow-minded -- Can I Want Your Love is a catchy love song with pop influences. I Can Dig It will likely be a favourite in Adkins' live shows and Everything Takes Me Back is a beautifully written hurtin' song, you can't help but love. Someday is a lovely simple poetic song, but unfortunately, Everyother Friday at Five, about shared custody, comes across as melo-dramatic. Track Listing
