Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry injured his knee earlier this month in an accident, resulting in the group putting any possible touring plans on hold for a few months.
According to a report in Venezuelan newspaper El Universal, site of where the group was slated to perform for the first time on Feb. 1, Perry injured his leg in Boston and underwent emergency surgery. Concert promoters say Perry is expected to undergo rehabilitation for three to four months.
Perry, 58 underwent knee replacement surgery in mid-March of last year.
Earlier this month the band announced it was working on a new studio album, the band's first proper studio effort since 2001's Just Push Play.
