THE FUN OF WATCHING FIREWORKS

THE FUN OF WATCHING FIREWORKS
The American Analog Set
(Emperor Jones)

Didn't leave much room to review this one, but it's a great, spacey if sometimes repetitive post-rock album that safely rides the fringe of folk wispiness and experimental pop.

Song 6, Trespassers in the Stereo Field, picks you up like a leaf in a drainpipe and takes you around all sorts of weird bends, then freezes you until spring.

This is a neat album. Lots of crazy organs and Belle- and Sebastian-style singing. Go to your favourite indie record store and burn it down with Dukes of Hazzard flaming arrows if they don't have it.
