Take the work of oddball jazz pioneer Sun Ra, mix it with some early hip hop, add a little Kraftwerk into the sound and you've got an idea of what critically acclaimed act Anti-Pop Consortium are up to.
"At the end of the day, we look at it as hip hop first and foremost,"says founding member Priest about the band's mind-expanding electronica rap sound. "And ultimately, we just want to make the music we're not hearing anywhere else."
