Aqua band mates tie the knot
By PAUL CANTIN

Two members of Aqua have taken the plunge.

The group's official site (www.aqua.dk) confirmed that band members Lene Nystrom and Soren Rasted have tied the knot.

"I asked Soren to marry me on Sunday. Two days later we flew to Las Vegas and got married in the Little White Wedding Chapel," the site quoted singer Nystrom, who will hereafter be known as Lene Grawford Nystrom Rasted.

"When I said "yes" we just decided to go for it right away. Yet still, it was bit bizarre," Rasted added.

The couple spent a brief holiday in Vegas and Los Angeles but have postponed their honeymoon.

"First, we have to see some friends and our families, of course, and then we go back into the studio. We still have an album to make," Rasted said.

The band is currently working on their third album, with an anticipated release in the fall.

"For this album we have chosen an approach different from what we did when we recorded 'Aquarius' in various rented houses where we were locked away for months," Rasted said at the site.

"We have actually bought our own recording studio in London where we all live. So now we can go to the studio and work as long as we like and then go back to our homes and relax, without having that feeling of working, eating and sleeping in the same house for ages. I think it applies a more spontaneous approach to the whole work process."

It's too early to tell what the new album will sound like, but Rasted ventured "Let's just say that is different ... very different. And probably something that will come as a surprise to a quite few people out there." (More on Aqua)
