Jann Arden is releasing a new work you can't hear in the radio or buy at the record store.
The Calgary singer-songwriter is auctioning off an original acrylic painting for charity.
Proceeds from the Celebrity Dreamweaver for Kids auction on Bargoon.com -- a Canadian based on-line auction company -- will go to the Children's Wish Foundation.
Mother is an 11x14 swirl of angelic forms Arden describes as "colourful, very modern and very haunting."
It was painted in honour of her grandmother.
"Jann didn't hesitate to help when we asked her to contribute to our Dreamweaver Auction," said Bargoon.com producer Gulam Baloch.
"We feel privileged to be working with Jann."
Last month, a Diamond Award (given to mark record sales) autographed by Canadian country star Shania Twain fetched $8,050 on the site.
The website at http://www.bargoon.com lets net surfers bid on collectibles and merchandise from sellers in 10 Canadian and two American cities.
Arden's art is open for bids until June 25 and begins at $300. The multi-million selling performer's latest CD is Blood Red Cherry.
