Randy Bachman heads a list of artists paying homage to the Fab Four on a new tribute album.
Bullseye Records announced that Bachman, multi-instrumentalist Al Kooper, Goddo, Bob Segarini, Andrew Gold, former Grapes Of Wrath member Tom Hooper, and ex-Red Rider member Jeff Jones will be contributing tracks.
Allan Merrill, the co-writer of Joan Jett's hit "I Love Rock And Roll," and child actor Robbie Rist's band The Andersons will also participate.
Bachman will be performing "That Boy" on the album, dubbed "It Was 40 Years Ago Today." Bullseye promises the disc will feature "top-name and bubbling-under international stars interpreting favourite Beatles tracks from the band's 250+ song catalogue."
Bullseye also announced that Bachman is preparing a best-of live CD and DVD entitled "Every Song Tells A Story." The package will feature 15 of Bachman's best-known songs. It is expected to come out this fall.
Bullseye is still taking submissions for the Beatles tribute album. Any interested acts can forward unmastered CD-Rs of their track to this address:
