Joan Baez fans will be saddened to hear the folk music legend has postponed her "extremely rare" Jan. 28 show at University of Toronto's Convocation Hall because of her sister's serious illness.
"I am reluctantly forced to cancel all of my touring plans for the immediate future," said Baez in a statement released yesterday. "My sister, Mimi, is in a battle with cancer, and as she continues to fight her illness, I feel an increasing need to be by her side. I will very much miss seeing all of you and look forward to doing so as soon as my situation allows."
