British composer and impresario Mike Batt -- whose circle of collaborators includes Roger Daltrey, Art Garfunkel, and Andrew Lloyd Webber -- has been hospitalized in Spain following a serious car crash.
Batt, who is best known in England for composing music for the TV characters/novelty act The Wombles and the animated film "Watership Down," broke his neck in the collision, and his condition was deemed too fragile to allow transportation back to England.
