Not a lot of music fans get to actually touch their heroes. With country singer John Berry, it's academic. First, get yourself to Festival Place in Sherwood Park tomorrow night. As the lights go down, just stare at the back doors and place yourself gracefully along his path as he comes up to the stage at the beginning of the show. Berry's tenor bluegrass-soul voice will point you in the right direction. The man's shaken more hands than most politicians.
On his cellphone en route to Calgary in the Salt Lake City International Airport, 42-year-old Berry's upcoming shows are on his mind, as well as getting to his gate and eating the cinnamon bun he's just bought.
