VANCOUVER — Richmond, B.C., Mounties said Tuesday they won’t lay any charges after investigating an alleged assault two months ago at a laser tag facility where Justin Bieber was reportedly playing.
“The investigation into this incident is now complete [and] no charges will be forwarded as the evidence collected does not support doing so,” Cpl. Sherrdean Turley said in a statement.
Police received a call on Oct. 16 from a man who claimed a boy had hit his 12-year-old son the day before while playing laser tag at Planet Lazer.
The boy, celebrating his birthday, suffered “minimal injuries” and didn’t require medical attention, police said.
Bieber was in town to play a concert at Rogers Arena on Oct. 19.
Witnesses said they spotted the Ontario-born teen that afternoon at the laser tag facility.
Police have never confirmed the 16-year-old singer was involved in any way.
