Despite a more than 50% drop-off in second-week sales, Billy Talent found themselves at the top of the Canadian album charts once again.
The Toronto-based rockers managed to sell over 24,000 copies of their new album "Billy Talent II" and secured the No. 1 position on the Canadian charts for a second consecutive week.
Last week, the album debuted in the top spot on sales of more than 48,000 copies, according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.
Meanwhile, Nelly Furtado's hot new release "Loose" (14,000) and the Dixie Chicks' "Taking the Long Way" (10,000) both hung onto the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
The biggest debuts of the week went to Johnny Cash's set of final recordings "American V: Hundred Highways" at No. 4, and Rise Against's fourth disc "The Sufferer and the Witness" at No. 5.
Elsewhere, Three Days Grace's "One-X" and Shakira's "Oral Fixation Vol. 2" both slipped two notches to No. 6 and No. 7.

Rihanna's "Girl Like Me" dropped one place to No. 8, the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Stadium Arcadium" claimed the No. 9 spot, and James Blunt's "Back to Bedlam" remained at No. 10 for the third straight week.
The only other debut in the top 50 went to Canadian country star George Canyon's "Somebody Wrote Love" at No. 23.
In the U.S., Johnny Cash premiered at No. 1 on sales of 88,000, followed by Nelly Furtado in second, India.Arie in third, the Dixie Chicks in fourth, and Gnarls Barkley in fifth.
