The new moniker for Kim Bingham ( the artist formerly known as Mudgirl) may just be her reiterating her status as an independent woman -- something she's been for a long time.
"When I was a kid, I remember watching a variety show on cable TV and they said, 'If you want to be on our show dial this number,' and I was reaching for the phone right away -- I was, like, eight ...," the 29-year-old Bingham says before hitting the road for a tour that will bring her to the Back Alley on Tuesday.
