Canada got another big helping of the Black Eyed Peas on the album charts this week.
The Los Angeles-based band topped the charts here for a fifth consecutive week, selling just under 16,000 copies of their latest disc "Monkey Business," according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.
The Peas are now eying this year's record for consecutive weeks at No. 1, which is currently held by 50 Cent's "The Massacre" at seven -- from March 9 to April 20.
Coldplay's "X&Y" held onto the No. 2 position on sales of 10,000, while Green Day's "American Idiot" (8,000), Gwen Stefani's "Love.Angel.Music.Baby," and The Killers' "Hot Fuss" all moved up one notch to No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Il Divo's self-titled disc fell down three positions to No. 6, and Kelly Clarkson continued her rise up the charts, with a three-spot jump to No. 7.
Jack Johnson's "In Between Dreams" remained at No. 8 after 22 weeks, the Foo Fighters' "In Your Honor" moved up from No. 11 to No. 9, and Mariah Carey's "The Emancipation of Mimi," with help from her latest single "We Belong Together," re-entered the top 10 at No. 10.
