Canada's love affair with the Black Eyed Peas continues to grow.
The Los Angeles-based band's disc "Monkey Business" topped the charts here for a seventh straight week, tying 50 Cent's "The Massacre" for this year's record for consecutive weeks at No. 1.
"Monkey Business" established the mark with sales of just under 14,000, according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.
50 Cent held the top spot in the country from March 9 to April 20.
Meanwhile, Coldplay's "X&Y" (10,000), Green Day's "American Idiot" (9,000), The Killers' "Hot Fuss" and Jack Johnson's "In Between Dreams" all moved up one notch to No. 2, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Faith Hill suffered some second week blues with her new album "Fireflies," which sank from No. 2 to No. 6 this week.
Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway" and Mariah Carey's "The Emancipation of Mimi" rose one position to No. 7 and No. 8, Gwen Stefani's "Love.Angel.Music.Baby" dropped two to No. 9, and Il Divo re-entered the Top 10 at No. 10.
Notable debuts this week included Staind's "Chapter V" at No. 14, Tommy Lee's "Tommyland: The Ride" at No. 31, Pennywise's "Fuse" at No. 42, and James Blunt's "Back To Bedlam" at No. 43.
In the U.S., Staind debuted at No. 1, followed by the compilation "NOW 19" in second, Faith Hill in third, Mariah Carey in fourth, and the Black Eyed Peas in fifth.
