Peas still hot on Cdn. charts
After five weeks on the charts, Canadians still have a healthy appetite for the Black Eyed Peas. The quartet's latest album, "The E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies)," remained at No. 1 for a third consecutive week, selling over 12,000 copies, according to data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan. It has racked up close to 100,000 in sales since its release. The Miley Cyrus-led "Hannah Montana 3" TV soundtrack had the best debut of the week, checking in at No. 2 with sales of over 8,000, while Lady GaGa's "The Fame" slipped one position to No. 3. The "NOW! 14" collection came up three spots to No. 4, the French compilation "Nos Stars Celebrent Le Jazz" stayed at No. 5, and the Jonas Brothers' ""Lines, Vines & Trying Times" dropped three to No. 6. The rest of the top 10 was rounded out by Eminem's "Relapse" at No. 7, Alexisonfire's "Old Crows/Young Cardinals" at No. 8, Nickelback's "Darkhorse" at No. 9, and Kings of Leon's "Only By the Night" at No. 10. EDITOR'S NOTE: These are top 10 current albums -- it does not include any archival sales -- just in case you were wondering why Michael Jackson's albums aren't listed. |
