Michael Buble

Vancouver crooner Michael Buble once again caught the ear of Canadian record buyers, holding onto the top spot this week on the album charts.

His new disc "Call Me Irresponsible" remained at No. 1 for a second consecutive week, racking up over 39,000 in sales, according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.

Buble also occupied the No. 1 spot south of the border, selling 145,000 copies of "Call Me Irresponsible" in the U.S.

Trailing close behind at No. 2 was Claude Dubois' "Duos Dubois," which sold over 33,000 copies, followed by Avril Lavigne's "The Best Damn Thing" (11,000) at No. 3.

Feist's "The Reminder" took a small hit in its second week, falling from No. 2 to No. 4, Isabelle Boulay's "De Retour a la Source" was steady at No. 5, and Bjork's latest CD "Volta" debuted at No. 6.

Rush's 18th studio effort "Snakes & Arrows slipped from No. 3 to No. 7, Mika's "Life in Cartoon Motion" moved down a notch to No. 8, Nelly Furtado's "Loose" remained at No. 9, and Marie-Elaine Thibert's "Comme Ca" hung on at No. 10.

Other notable debuts included Barbra Streisand's "Live in Concert" at No. 13, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's "Strength & Loyalty" at No. 16, Marilou's "Marilou" at No. 35, Social Code's self-titled CD at No. 37, Daniel Desnoyers' "In Da House 2" at No. 40, and Travis' "The Boy With No Name" at No. 48.

In the U.S., Bone Thugs-N-Harmony placed second, followed by Bobby Valentino's "Special Occasion" in third, Ne-Yo's "Because of You" in fourth, and Avril Lavigne in fifth.
