It seems like a lot of Canadians had Michael Buble’s “Christmas” CD to unwrap over the holidays.
The Vancouver crooner stayed on top of the charts again this week with sales of just over 100,000, according to data provided by Nielsen SoundScan.
These sales bested his giant haul last week of 100,000, making him the chart topper in Canada for four weeks in a row. “Christmas: has also dominated the U.S. charts for five consecutive weeks.
Adele’s “21”, one of the most critically and commercially successful albums of 2011 held steady at the No. 2 spot with 60,000, while Justin Bieber’s “Under the Mistletoe” (38,000) stayed for another week at No.3.
In the middle of the charts, LMFAO’s “Sorry For Party Rocking” (No. 4) and Nickelback’s “Here And Now” (No. 5) switched places while MuchDance 2012 ended the week in the sixth spot.
Rihanna’s latest disc “Talk That Talk”went up one notch to seventh place and Coldplay’s fifth studio album “Mylo Xyloto”made its way back into the top ten by jumping up three to land at No.8
Rounding out the bottom of the charts is Amy Winehouse’s posthumous “Lioness: Hidden Treasures” at No. 9 and The Black Keys’ “El Camino” which fell one to tenth place.
South of the border, Buble beat out Adele’s “21” at No.2 and rapper Young Jeezy’s “TM 103: Hustlerz Ambition" which debuted in the third spot. Justin Bieber’s Christmas album landed in fourth place and Drake’s “Take Care” sat at the bottom of the top five.
