Buena Vista Social Club member Pedro Depestre Gonzalez died while performing onstage in Europe, The BBC reports.
The 55-year-old violinist, who performed with the remarkably successful ensemble of Cuban musicians, died after performing a solo Sunday at a concert in Basel, Switzerland.
