Mariah Carey books N.A. tour


Thirteen months after the release of her comeback album "The Emancipation of Mimi," Mariah Carey has finally got around to booking a North American tour.

MTV reports the two-month trek, called "The Adventures of Mimi: The Voice, the Hits, the Tour," will kick off on August 5 in Miami and end in Phoenix on October 10, with four dates In Canada in between.

The stops here include Toronto's Air Canada Centre on August 13, Montreal's Bell Centre on August 15, Edmonton's Rexall Place on September 21, and Vancouver's General Motors Place on September 23.

Sean Paul will be the opening act for the first half of the tour.

General public ticket sales for the Toronto and Edmonton show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. ET, and 10 a.m MDT, respectively. Ticket details for the Vancouver and Montreal show have not been released as yet.
