The Cash Brothers seem to be sitting squarely in the alt-country/ roots/Americana mix so popular right now, even though promotional materials for their fourth album would indicate they'd prefer a different handle.
"Artists don't like to be pigeonholed," reads the band's official bio, which pushes the rock aspects of A Brand New Night. But in a phone interview to promote their show tonight at the Black Sheep Inn in Wakefield, Andrew Cash says he and his brother Peter didn't set out to distance themselves from any alt-country identity.
