The prizes will be handed out Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. during a live telecast from the music channel's Toronto headquarters. No details have been released yet on who will perform at the this year's extravaganza.
Good's 11 nominations are for the videos for "Load Me Up" and "Strange Days," which were both nominated as best video. "Hello Time Bomb" was named as one of the year's best rock videos.
Choclair's seven nominations include "Let's Ride," selected as a finalist for best video and best rap video, while his clip for "Rubbin'" was nominated for best post-production. Choclair was also nominated for the people's choice awards for favourite Canadian artist and favourite Canadian video.
Kreviazuk's five nominations included best video, best pop video the MuchMoreMusic prize, and the people's choice prize for favourite Canadian video and favourite Canadian artist, for her song "Before You."
Edwin's six nominations were split between "And You" (best rock video, best post-production) and "Alive" (best director, cinematography and people's choice for favourite artist).
Dream Warriors and Our Lady Peace earned three nominations each, while The Tragically Hip, The Moffatts, Joee, Abacus, Love Inc., Prozzak, and Saukrates earned two nominations each.
In the international categories, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Britney Spears, *NSync, and Limp Bizkit each earned two nominations.
