British pop-rock act Coldplay will begin their 2005 world tour with a a series of outdoor concerts this summer in the UK -- their biggest headline shows to date.
They will play June 27-28 at Crystal Palace Athletics Stadium in London, July 1 at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow, and July 4-5 at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton. Each venue holds approximately 30,000 people.
"We've spent a long time in the studio and haven't played a gig for 18 months," says guitarist Jonny Buckland in a statement issued by their record label, "so we can't wait to get out on tour and play our new songs live."
Coldplay's new album, as yet untitled, will be released in June, the followup to 2002's A Rush Of Blood To The Head.
