Expecting an interview with the supposedly "political" metal band Corrosion of Conformity, I was surprised to find out that guitarist Woodroe Weatherman comes across as an easygoing good ol' boy who says things like, "Really, man, when it's all said and done we're just a band. We're not politicians."
Listen to the North Carolina foursome's latest album, America's Volume Dealer, and you hear a song about a fast car called Gittin' It On, a rootsy number called Stare Too Long featuring "Badass Warren Haynes" on slide guitar, and not a whole lot of angry ranting on the state of the world today.
