By JANE STEVENSON -- A baby Cranberry was born in Toronto this week.

Dolores O' Riordan, the diminutive lead singer of the Irish pop group The Cranberries, gave birth on Sunday to her first child, a son, weighing seven lbs., 6 ozs., and named Taylor Baxter Burton.

O' Riordan is married to a Canadian, Don Burton (formerly tour manager for one time Craberry tour mates Duran Duran), and the couple have a home in Peterboro, Ont.

She became a mother in the midst of The Cranberries' work on their fourth studio album, which is expected to be released later next year.
