Cranberries cancel I&I
By JANE STEVENSON

The Cranberries have cancelled their upcoming Intimate And Interactive appearance at MuchMoreMusic on Oct. 22 due to "the unrest in the world."

The band was to have been in Toronto one day before the release of their latest album, Wake Up And Smell The Coffee, due in stores on Oct. 23.

In a statement released yesterday, their record label said the Irish group felt they needed to be with their families right now and hoped fans understood their decision.

"We're truly sorry we cannot continue our promo tour," said lead singer Dolores O' Riordan in a statement. "Life is a precious gift not to be taken for granted and obviously with the international coalition action in Afghanistan, and all of the strange co-incidences (anthrax, etc.), it is not worth the risk of travelling around."
