Cranberries to launch tour in Canada
By JAM! Music

The Cranberries will kick off their "Wake Up And Smell The Coffee" tour with a pair of shows in Canada.

The group announced the tour in an e-mail sent out to their fan mailing list. The tour opens May 10 at Montreal's Molson Centre before moving to Toronto's Massey Hall on May 11.

So far, the group has only announced dates through May 30 in Atlanta, but the message said further dates will be announced shortly for Miami, Puerto Rico, Mexico City, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The tour wraps up on July 6.

The group will take a break from the tour in June to record new material, the message said.

The Cranberries will also celebrate their 10th anniversary with a concert in their hometown of Limerick, Ireland. The show, which will mark their first concert in Limerick since 1993, will be announced during the second week of March, the site said.

Tickets for the first wave of shows (except the Atlanta date) go on sale via the band's official website on Tuesday (March 5), at http://www.cranberries.ie.

Here's the itinerary so far:

10 May, Montreal, Molson Centre

11 May, Toronto, Massey Hall

13 May, Philadelphia, PA, Tower Theater

14 May, Boston, MA, Fleet Center Pavillion

16 May, Wallingford, CT, Oakdale Theatre

18 May, New York, NY, Hammerstein Ballroom

30 May, Atlanta, GA, Chastain Park
