The Sept. 11 jet-bombing of the World Trade Center towers hit a little too close to home for Dave Vanian. The lead vocalist of first-wave punk act The Damned was in New York just three weeks ago to do some promo for the band's new album, Grave Disorder.
"We were there at that corner, looking up at those towers," recalls Vanian. "We did a photo shoot across the street on the roof of a building, which isn't there anymore, I suppose. It's a bit strange to watch all that destruction on television--absolutely horrific."
