PARIS HILTON

Artist: Day, Matt

Musical Day
Whether it's Bill Clinton playing sax, Sting singing for the rainforests or Sonny Bono becoming a congressman, there's a relationship between music and politics - sometimes whether the politicians or musicians want it or not.

Take the Day family. While Matt Day says he'd rather keep music and politics separate, he doesn't have a problem mentioning that his brother Stockwell happens to be the leader of the official Opposition - just as a point of interest. For gleeful folk expecting dirt, sorry to disappoint you: Matt Day isn't part of some Satanist death metal band hell-bent on poisoning the family tree. He's a jazz keyboardist, mainly, with ties to the local Christian music scene, a devoted family man and a full-time musician. Day plays tomorrow night at the Provincial Museum auditorium as part of the Anno Domini concert series. No politics, please.
