YEAH!
Are these Def Leppard covers any good? Hell Yeah!By DARRYL STERDAN -- Winnipeg Sun
Def Leppard Yeah! (Island/Universal) There are only two ways to play cover tunes: Faithfully and unfaithfully. Classic rockers Def Leppard clearly take their covers seriously, which is why they wisely opt for the former on their new tribute CD Yeah! -- with instantly addictive results. Taking their cue from Bowie's Pinups, the Leps knock off spot-on versions of Britrock and glam chestnuts like T. Rex's 20th Century Boy, Sweet's Hell Raiser, Bowie's Drive-In Saturday, Badfinger's No Matter What, Mott's Golden Age of Rock 'n' Roll, Thin Lizzy's Don't Believe a Word, The Faces' Stay With Me and more. There are only two ways to react to this: Either you're already going 'Yeah!' or asking what the point is. If you're opting for the latter, you might be taking things too seriously. Track Listing:
